This is a lovely place to visit for a quick bite that won't break the bank. Service is friendly & the food quality is reasonable & well cooked & presented. Excellent value for money prices - probably the cheapest cafe for miles around. Limited menu but enough of a choice for a simple breakfast or brunch. Lovely village setting. Been several times & food is always good.

Title: A Delightful Evening at the Chequers Inn 🌊✨ I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Chequers Inn, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the charming atmosphere and stunning seaside views. But what truly stole the show was the fantastic seafood! The menu boasts an impressive selection, and every dish we tried was a masterpiece. The fresh catch of the day was cooked to perfection, with flavors that danced on the palate. The prawn starters were succulent and bursting with flavor, while the seafood platter was a feast for both the eyes and the stomach—an absolute must-try! A special mention to our waiter, Harry, who elevated our dining experience even further. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Harry provided excellent recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. His warm demeanor and professional service added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. Overall, if you're a seafood lover, the Chequers Inn is not to be missed! With delectable dishes and wonderful service, it is a true gem by the sea. I can't wait to return! 🌟👗🍽️

Popped in here with my daughter and her friend after an Explorers evening. The pub was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly. We just had three soft drinks and the prices were average. We sat on a bench outside. Would recommend it for a quiet drink. We didn't have food so I can't comment on it. There are several steps up to enter the pub. Not sure if there is an accessible entrance.

Stayed overnight for a meal after our long walk in North Warnborough. Pleasant enough, bedrooms were comfortable. Bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly, happy to make one feel welcome, although, being a Monday we were the only ones there! Needs much TLC, building showing it's age. Paint had been dripped onto the radiator in my room. Door was stiff to close. There was no chef as such, meals were cooked/warmed up by staff. Unfortunately my friend had to send her Hunters Chicken back as the chicken was hard like it had been cooked twice. Able to swap for a macaroni cheese. I enjoyed a mushroom pie. However kitchen closed at 9pm and we were not offered a dessert. Which I thought was a bit mean given we were delayed in eating because of returning original meal. It was fine for one night, although at £81 a night and no breakfast was steep when other local hotels were less and I would have expected better for that price. The cafe/village shop did a good breakfast, just a walk away.

I loved Paul & Nichola but does anyone now understand that advertising sauté potatoes (thin crispy slices) is not the same as the Parmentier that they serve. Slices and cubes are different. I was always surprised mentioning it and given their experience they seemingly had no idea of the difference. If you would like sauté, spell it out to the waiting staff!
